What can you play at Kongebarn?

Kongebarn is a larp aimed at groups. Group Application is under the “Sign up” Tab. There are three types of groups you can participate as.

Groups who make plot and intrigue:

If your group wants to focus on the intrigue and plot part of the scenario, then you can either play as a part of the church, foreign royalty and nobility or Greater houses.

Groups who wants to enjoy a cozy camp scenario:
If your group wants to focus on the cozy part of the game, then you are able to play as either peasant families or riff-raff.

Groups who want a mix of both:

If your group wants a bit of both the cozy camp and to a self chosen degree intrigue and plot game, then you should play as a lesser house.

Foreign Great Houses or Royalty with escort:

These groups are pointed at international participants where a part of the game for them is that they do not speak danish. It is also possible to play riff-raff as non-danish participants. The main goal for these players is to form an alliance with either the Danish Great houses or perhaps even the queen or heir through marriage, to gain more influence through trade or other means or perhaps seek justice for a strife.

Great houses:

These houses are the most powerful in the country. You can choose yourself if this power comes from money/trade, military or a split between both. The main goal for these players is to form an alliance with either the Danish Great houses or perhaps even the queen or heir through marriage, to gain more influence through trade or other means or perhaps seek justice for a strife.

Part of the church:

As part of the church your group can play as many different types. For example as part of a knight's order, a monk or nun order, a bishop with escort, a sect or the like. The goal for these groups is to further the interests and principles of the church. The church has opinions on who gets to inherit, and that those who betroth themself to the Danish Houses and royalty are strong in their faith.

Lesser Houses:

Lesser houses are not the most powerful in the country. Some lesser houses are more knightly, others are close to being a common group of ruffians. Lesser houses can have power from trade, legal piracy, military power or tax collection. The main goal for these players is to either form an alliance with the Danish Great houses or a foreign one through marriage, to gain more influence through trade or other means or perhaps seek justice for a strife

Peasant families:

Most families have traveled for the heirs' name day to see the festivities.

Riff-raff:

Most groups of beggars, thieves or performers have traveled for the heirs' name day to see the festivities.

Children:

Children and their families are very welcome at King’s Child, children may not participate as plot bearing roles.  That means that they may play as the head of a house but then the main role should e.g. be the mother, herold or another important figure.
